PHONE SCAM - Bogus Call From Microsoft: I'd read about this, but last night (17 Jan 12), some Indian sounding jerk called my cellphone. FEW people have that number, and the Caller ID only displayed ON number - the numeral, 9. I answered, and while I WISH I'd have had more time to play head games with the jerk, I didn't. The call went like this - so BEWARE - it IS a SCAM!
"Hello, who I'm talking to?" the Indian SOUNDING male voice inquired.
"Who did you call?" I replied.
"Thees ees $*%$# from Microsoft Corporation. Your computer is sending out hundreds of files that are VIRUSES, we want to 'elp you get reed of dem, but first I weel need a credit card ident-e-feecation to valeedate who you is."
